WHERE: Colorado Springs KOA

PROGRAM: Click here to see the full conference schedule. Members may attend the annual business meeting at no cost. It’s scheduled for 8 a.m. on the 7th. We will provide an overview of the association’s activities and we’ll hold an election.
To make RV or cabin lodging arrangements at Colorado Springs KOA, call Belinda at (719) 382-7575 and tell her you’re with CCLOA’s conference.
To make a room reservation at a nearby hotel, we suggest you check with the variety of options that are available off of I-25 at Lake Ave. / S Circle Dr., which is about 5 minutes north of Colorado Springs KOA.
INCLUDED: Aside from the learning and networking, mixed in with some social and professional fun, and of course the 2018 Camp Colorado Guide, CCLOA will provide a variety of snacks, cold beverages, coffee, hot tea, Wednesday’s lunch and banquet, some BYOB accompaniments at the banquet, and Thursday’s lunch.
NEW: One of the newest additions is that we’re asking attendees to bring one or several donations that cost around $10, with the stipulation that each be MADE IN COLORADO.
For each $10 bundle donated, we’ll be selling an equal number of tickets for $10 each. Each ticket buyer will then go home with one of the items.
We believe it’s an excellent way for people to gain an appreciation for MADE IN COLORADO items. You might end up making a list of new items to sell in your store.
HUH? Still not sure what qualifies?
Think of Colorado made products: wine, beer, soap, wheat art, packaged foods (honey, jam, cider, etc), pewter pieces, glassworks, wood works, pack of postcards, books, photographs, fabric items, ………… if it’s made in Colorado then it counts!
If an item costs less than $10, then bundle it with other items that add up to around $10.
If an item costs more than $10, well, we won’t discriminate and someone will likely be very happy!
TRADITIONAL: The regular auctions (silent and live) continue to add great value to those who win and to CCLOA, so please also consider donating to it. Examples:
- Items from your store that someone else ought to consider selling,
- A still useful but no longer needed tool or gadget that’s needing a new home.
CONSIDER BRINGING: Other than a networking attitude and a pen, we encourage you to bring these items.
- Rack cards / brochures for sharing
- Business cards
- Made in Colorado item(s) (no limit!)
- Auction donations (no limit)
- Your checkbook (well, OK, only one check should suffice for your expenses at the event!) (If you’re willing to pay the convenience fee, you may pay with credit card.)
- Your beverage of choice for the banquet. If you desire something other than water, please bring it (we’ll have BYOB accompaniments on hand).
ATTIRE: The dressiest we typically see is business casual. Yes, jeans are allowed.
ARVC’S NFPA 1194 CERTIFICATION: There’s a new opportunity for you to potentially save money through your membership. ARVC is now providing certificate program on what’s called NFPA 1194 (nationwide standards for RV parks). Some campground insurance providers are now offering a reduced insurance premium for those who go through the various steps of certification … possibly to the tune of 5% – 15%!
The first step is taking a class. It will be taught at Colorado Springs KOA on 3/6/18, the day before CCLOA’s conference. Click here to learn more about the NFPA 1194 program and how to register to attend the 3/6/18 special session.
