LOCATION / LODGING
MCM Eleganté Suites at 6450 N. Academy Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918
The $75/night rate is valid on either side of the meeting dates in case you’d like to have some personal time in Colorado Springs. The rooms come with a kitchenette. There’s complimentary laundry, gym, Wi-Fi, and DirecTV. They’re pet friendly with applicable fee.
BOOK YOUR ROOM: Click here to book a room. If you prefer to book a room by phone, please let the front desk agent know that you’re with the CCLOA group and they will be able to give you the discounted rate as well.
We’ll supply lunch and dinner on Monday, and some beverages, as well as a light lunch on Tuesday. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast.
BYOB for our Monday evening social! It would also help if you brought the additional items needed with your B (soda, juice, lime, whatever). We’ll have the ice and glasses, and we’ll have a limited supply of sodas on hand.
We’re asking for a minimum donation of $100 per park to help our fiscally challenging organization offset this event’s costs. We chose “donation” rather than “registration fee” to let people donate even more, and yet it doesn’t exclude those who can’t pay (or pay as much) for this relatively last-minute event. Please pay in person, or mail your check ahead of time to CCLOA at PO Box 824, Pierre SD 57501.
CANCELLATION: If you cancel on or after 3/16, please still make your donation because our food headcount will have been calculated based on registrations.
THE PLAN
Monday 3/27:
- Doors opening at 10:30. This gives most a chance to travel that day, saving on their lodging costs.
- Introductions begin at 11, so claim your seat by this time.
- Next, bring out the lunch that CCLOA purchased:
- Moderated roundtable or cracker barrel type discussions. This will be the overall mechanism of the day, making sure we cover the wide variety of needs are addressed. Topics will include park operations, park management, industry trends, industry concerns, legislative issues, and whatever you’d like to cover.
The last time Mary hosted one of these, the only complaint was that it was too short … by hours! It was raved as the best session of the conference. So she’s bringing that format to this event. - Social, dinner, and live auction (thanks to some fabulous industry partners).
Tuesday 3/28:
- The hotel offers a free breakfast bar which can be enjoyed before we return to business at or shortly after 9.
- Introductions again since we may have attendees who weren’t able to participate on Monday.
- Backtrack to some topics that need more air-time.
- Annual business meeting and election; here’s the agenda:
- Call to Order
- Secretary’s Report
- Approval of the Agenda
- Approval of the 2022 Minutes
- State of the Association Report (incl treasury report)
- Discussions
- Election to the Board of Directors
- Adjourn
- Lunch and continue with the topics.
- 12:30 Drawing (must be present to win)
- 1 PM – Head back home ahead of the traffic.
PARK MEMBER REGISTRATION (& CANCELLATION)
Our food and table arrangement needs will be based on registrations in place on 3/15. Please pay in person, or mail your check ahead of time to CCLOA at PO Box 824, Pierre SD 57501.
If you cancel on 3/16 or later, please continue to support our project by mailing your donation to CCLOA at PO Box 824, Pierre SD 57501.
Notice we said “donation.” If you can’t pull off the suggested donation, please don’t let that stop you from attending!
Use the Contact Us form and, in the COMMENT section, list the first and last name of each attendee from your business.
Don’t forget to also book your room! Click here to book a room. If you prefer to book a room by phone, please let the front desk agent know that you’re with the CCLOA group and they will be able to give you the discounted rate as well.
ONLINE NETWORKING & EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS
The 2022 / 2023 networking and educational sessions are winding down. We provided fewer this time since our Tour of Colorado consumed most of the autumn pre-holiday timeframe. The sessions were announced on our Upcoming Events page, as well as in emails to the members. To all who participated, THANK YOU!
